Les Disques Bongo Joe are are pleased to announce the first physical release of Istanbul based trio Oldu O Zaman ! With these two tracks, Sigarasi Yaldizli / Mastika, the band pays homage to Anatolian psychedelic golden age with adding some modern influences. Cansu Ak, Tolga Horasanli and Mehmet Koray Erol came together in 2019 to produce their own music with creating the band Oldu O Zaman. After a first digital release with Avrupa Müzik, the trio decided to go deeper in their cultural heritage with covering and arranging Turkish traditional well-known folk songs with psychedelic and electronic elements to create a unique sound with their own touch. The 7 » gathers Sigarasi Yaldizli a famous tavern song and a well known Turkish gipsy song Mastika hacked with some electronic tocuhes. Be careful, this material is pure banger !
