Derya Yıldırım, jeune chanteuse et multi-instrumentiste de talent, fait équipe avec Greta Eacott, fantastique batteuse londonienne (G-Bop Orchestra, One Take Records). Sous l’initiative d’un festival de Hambourg une rencontre est organisé avec trois quarts de l’Orchestre du Montplaisant (Antonin Voyant, Graham Mushnik, Andrea Piro), de l’écurie Catapulte Records.
Avec des origines de Turquie, Allemagne, France, Grande-Bretagne, Suède et Italie, les membres du Grup Şimşek (prononcez « Chimchek ») s’inscrivent dans la génération sans frontières que certains qualifieront d’”Outernational”.
DOST is a Turkish word that you can translate into English simply as ‘friend’.
DOST is a friend, a comrade, a brother, a sister and even more than that.
DOST is the connection to keep this life and world meaningful, significant and equal. To maintain respect, tolerance & the moments of love and peace. To keep growing and learning from each other. To allow yourself and others to live their lives as they chose.
This album is an appeal to those who believe in friendships; who believe in DOST.
