Ces rééditions sont les premières à être officiellement autorisées par l’artiste. Les deux albums ont été soigneusement remastérisés par Heba Kadry à partir des bandes originales.
La réédition de Paris 1919 inclut des titres inédits non présents dans la réédition de 2006 par Warner, ainsi qu’un nouveau morceau, « Fever Dream 2024 », qui rend hommage aux œuvres précédentes sur le disque bonus. Les notes de pochette, rédigées par Grayson Haver Currin, offrent un aperçu détaillé de la carrière de JC, en mettant en lumière ses débuts en tant que producteur, ingénieur et musicien de studio, ainsi que ses débuts en solo après Velvet Underground avec la sortie de son premier album, Vintage Violence , en 1970, et de The Academy in Peril l’année suivante.
